B&B Electronics introduces the ESD5-100T 5-Port Miniature Switch, part of our IAsolutions Ethernet line. B&B Electronics' IAsolutions Ethernet line will meet industrial application requirements in a more cost-effective and uncomplicated manner.
The ESD5-100T is a 5-port miniature switch that auto-negotiates
10Base-T/100Base-TX. One port can be used as an
uplink port to connect two switches together, eliminating the need
for a crossover cable.
This switch divides the Ethernet network into five separate
collision domains. It functions as a “bridge” between these various
data links creating a larger network diameter than can be achieved
with repeating hubs. Each port automatically negotiates with its
attached devices the data rate for that port, whether it is 10Mbps or
100Mbps. The flow control mechanism is also negotiated.
There are activity/link/data rate LEDs for each port to aid
trouble-shooting. Port connectors are shielded RJ-45. A power
source for 10-36VDC or 8-24VAC is required. DIN rail case
dimensions: 3.1 x 2.9 x 1.5 in (7.9 x 7.4 x 4.0 cm).
