2, 4 and 8 channel RS-232 to RS-422 Converters

These converters allow your computer to communicate up to 4,000 feet by converting the RS-232 signal to RS-422.

If the peripheral to be connected has an RS-422 interface, only one converter is required. If both the data transmitting equipment and data receiving equipment use only RS-232, then two converters will be required, one at each end of the data line.

These models all have DB25 Female connectors on the RS-232 side and DB25 Male connectors on the RS-422 side. Models 422LCOR and 422CFCR require the 422PS external 12 VDC power supply. Model 422CEC requires the 422PS3 external 12 VDC power supply.

• Model 422LCOR converts two signals and has LEDs to indicate data traffic.
• Model 422CFCR converts four channels.
• Model 422CEC converts eight channels.

In applications where you need to carry signals other than TD and RD (for example when using RTS/CTS handshaking), models 422CEC (8 channels) or 422CFCR (4 channels) may be appropriate.
