Managed Ethernet switches provide traffic control and automated trouble reporting
If you’ve got a mission or time-critical application, this managed Ethernet switch offers intelligent
reporting using email to provide the system manager real-time warning for user-configured
events such as power on/off, traffic overload, configuration change and more. SNMP support
allows industry-standard network monitoring from a central location with existing, familiar
visualization and control applications. Configuration is simple over the network by web browser,
Telnet console or a Windows configuration utility. An alarm relay contact warns technicians on
the shop floor when the power fails or a port link breaks.
Redundant communication is supported using Turbo Ring, a unique feature that supports a
redundant ring topology. If a wire segment breaks, Turbo Ring will automatically switch over
to the redundant path segment in less than 300 ms, allowing your industrial automation and
control applications to continue running non-stop.
Designed for factory floor applications, these switches are Class 1, Div. 2 (zone 2) rated
for hazardous locations with an IP30 rated case. They are also rated for resistance to
shock and vibration. Tough DIN rail mount metal cases and redundant 12 to 48 VDC power
connections add to their rugged nature. Available extended temperature range (-T models),
good for -40 to +75° C, allow them to be used in unheated or uncooled locations.
