What are Surge Protectors?

Surge protectors are used to protect Serial Communications equipment from large voltage spikes such as lightning or other transients.

Where to get Surge Protectors

B&B Electronics designs and manufactures a range of surge suppressors. Those include single stage transient voltage suppressors and three stage maximum protection products.

How do Surge Protectors work?

B&B Electronics offers two families of surge suppressors

Single stage surge suppressors: those products use one transient voltage suppressor for each supported line.

Three stage surge suppressors: those products use a gas discharge tube, followed by a series of resistors and finally a transient voltage suppressor for each supported line.
